The first card uses the All A Flutter - a la carte stamp. It sells for only $12.95. At first I wasn't sure how to use it but then a saw a card, which was just gorgeous, created by one of my fellow SU! demonstators Kay Cameron. This card is inspired by her design.
The background on all the cards is created using the new Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder. It's my favorite new toy!
The Pretty in Pink/Choc Chip card is another card inspired by one of my fellow SU! demonstators Bronwyn Cornish. For this card I used Choc Chip, Pretty in Pink & Whisper Whte cs, ink & ribbon.
This card is very girly. With a different greeting it could be used as a baby card? I don't know. It's very pretty and sparkly though! I've used Pretty In Pink, Baja Breeze & So Saffron cs. The For You flower is stamped with Baja Breeze ink and the ribbon is also Baja Breeze. I used double sided tape, Heat & Stick powder and Dazzling Diamonds glitter for the sparkly top & bottom border. The greeting is from the Heard from the Heart stamp set, which is another new favourite of mine! You'll probably see it a lot from now on.
The first one is inspired by a sample created by Stampin' Up!. I love it!
It's made with Real Red, Choc Chip & Whisper White cs. The stamps are coloured in using Real Red, Choc Chip, Old Olive & So Saffron Stampin Write Markers. The heart is made using the small heart punch then a hole is punched with the 1/16" circle punch then I strung it on hemp twine which is wrapped around the Real Red cs.
I'm not into Scrapbooking as most of you know but I thought I'd give it a try! This page although not true 12 x12 scrapbook size worked out quite well. The picture is of my kids dressed up as a Christmas Elf & Fairy on Christmas Eve last year. I used the Contempo Christmas stamp set together with Real Red, Night of Navy, Garden Green & Whisper White cs and ink. Oh and the Christmas Tree image was embossed using silver embossing powder. I hope you like it!
With this card I discovered Sahara sand cs! It's quite similar to Crumb Cake (Kraft) just a bit lighter. I was looking for a colour that would compliment the Christmas colours but not be too bold. It works well with the Old Olive & Real Red cs & ink. The greeting is from Basic Phrases stamp set and I finished it off with a silver brad.
Last but not least! Yesterday I visited my extremely talented upline, Karen Dillon where I met another very talented Stampin Up! demonstrator Heather Tiley. Karen taught us both how to make this lovely Hydrangea Flower card using the Heart Punch. Isn't is fantastic!
'Til next time!
Megan Black :)
